You will be joining a team of 12 and enjoying significant on-the-job training and support from other team members. This internship is ideal for Food Science sophomore majors who are interested in Ingredion as an employer upon graduation and would like to better understand our portfolio of starches, sweeteners, plant-based proteins and hydrocolloids.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As the Technical Sales Intern, your responsibilities will include:\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Answer customer inquiries from the 1-800 line and online chat<\/li>\n<li>Develop an understanding of Ingredion\u2019s product portfolio<\/li>\n<li>Develop an understanding of technical sales and how to help customers solve their technical and formulation needs<\/li>\n<li>Complete\u00a0an assigned\u00a0capstone project<br \/>\nMaintain customer\u00a0information in Salesforce.com<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You are a good fit for the Technical\u00a0Sales\u00a0Intern position if you:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enjoy customer interaction and building relationships<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy conveying technical information in a relatable way<\/li>\n<li>Are a team player<\/li>\n<li>Have an interest in pursuing a technical sales\/business development\u00a0career<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualified candidates will have:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sophomore or junior in a Bachelor\u2019s\u00a0degree program in Food Science or related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum GPA of 3.0\/4.0<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work 40 hrs per week during the summer internship term<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Reliable transportation required to travel to and from facility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
