Our culture is based on four simple practices: Be There, Play, Make Their Day, and Choose Your Attitude!<br \/>\n<strong>Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Application Scientist -Beverage will work as part of the Applications team to develop of a wide range of beverage products. The Applications team collaborates with Flavor Creation, Solutions, Innovative Products and Marketing to deliver prototypes, demos and finished products. Finished beverage formats include, but not limited to, low acid protein drinks<br \/>\n<strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop beverage formulations using sound commercial and technical knowledge of ingredients, processes and customer requirements to deliver on project objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Support sales and build relationships with customers via technical presentations, product demonstrations, plant trials and project support.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate and select appropriate flavors for each application utilizing flavor knowledge and optimizing flavors by working closely with flavor creation when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Create production formulas and specifications as needed ensuring product meets food safety requirements and industry standards.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support on customer calls and plant trials.<\/li>\n<li>Travel as needed with sales force in order to present completed projects, show flavor promotional items, provide technical support, and to help uncover new flavor opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Work cross functionally to create product demos to showcase Prinova\u2019s ingredients.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical guidance to junior team members.<\/li>\n<li>Stay up to date on industry trends, technology and ingredients as it relates to beverages.<\/li>\n<li>Handle day to day maintenance of laboratory and pilot plant equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education and Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of experience in beverage development<\/li>\n<li>BS degree or higher in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in beverage formulation and successful product launch.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in formulating and processing ready to drink protein beverages.<\/li>\n<li>Strong working knowledge of ingredients and their interactions<\/li>\n<li>Experience with working with and conducting trials using a Microthermics<\/li>\n<li>Strong team player, communication skills, organizational and project management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.<br \/>\n<strong>Safety Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is the responsibility of each employee to comply with occupational safety and health standards issued under OSHA and to follow all rules, regulations, and procedures established by the Company to ensure that their actions do not impact the health and safety of themselves or others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":459,"featured_media":1400,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Carol Stream, IL","_application":"https:\/\/www.prinovaglobal.com\/us\/en\/about\/careers\/job-listings?gnk=job&gni=8a7883a87a7e280a017aac4f231053ec&gns=IFT+website","_company_name":"Prinova USA LLC","_company_website":"www.prinovausa.com","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[14],"job-types":[2],"class_list":{"0":"post-1399","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-expired","4":"has-post-thumbnail","5":"hentry","7":"job-type-full-time"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings\/1399"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job_listing"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/459"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1400"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1399"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"job_listing_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-categories?post=1399"},{"taxonomy":"job_listing_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-types?post=1399"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
