{"id":1429,"date":"2022-03-04T09:40:19","date_gmt":"2022-03-04T15:40:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/job\/newly-weds-foods-inc-4140-w-fullerton-ave-chicago-il-60639-2-project-engineer\/"},"modified":"2022-04-04T03:47:57","modified_gmt":"2022-04-04T08:47:57","slug":"newly-weds-foods-inc-4140-w-fullerton-ave-chicago-il-60639-2-project-engineer","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/chicagoift.org\/members\/Careers\/?post_type=job_listing&p=1429","title":{"rendered":"Project Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Project Engineer is responsible for providing Engineering support with the implementation of planning, development, organization and completion of projects within the area of assigned product designation, preliminary construction and commissioning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop preliminary budgets, cost justifications, scopes of work and schedules for management and manufacturing approval.<\/li>\n<li>Complete specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, project design, preparation of drawing specifications, technical plans, assembly methods, equipment and product testing ensuring design for compliance with engineering principles, contract requirements and related specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Control expenditures of project budget by obtaining competitive pricing from contractors\/vendors and preparing purchase requisitions and project-related invoices for payment.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.<\/li>\n<li>Install, test, evaluate and prepare specifications of equipment and services\/trades which may require drawings, sketches and calculations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance between Newly Weds Foods equipment, construction, safety standards and governing agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and report on field work or assigned projects and assist in the evaluation and approval of design changes, specifications and drawing releases.<\/li>\n<li>Approximately 30% &#8211; 60% travel, some international.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties or special projects as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Requires a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Two to five years\u2019 experience in Engineering and\/or Project Management. Food industry experience is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with CAD, process and electrical controls, new installations and retro-fits are beneficial.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication, analytical abilities, organization skills and general knowledge of Adobe applications, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Newly Weds Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer<br \/>\nMinorities\/Veterans\/Females\/Disabled<\/p>\n<p>Newly Weds Foods will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States without assistance or support from Newly Weds Foods.
